Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of upgrading to LED lighting for my business?

Upgrading to LED lighting through our retrofitting services offers three major advantages: massive energy savings, up to 75% less energy consumption compared to traditional bulbs. Drastically reduced maintenance costs due to their long lifespan, and improved light quality. For commercial properties, this directly translates to lower utility bills and a safer, brighter environment for both employees and customers.

Can you repair or expand an outdoor lighting system installed by another company?

Yes, absolutely. Our certified technicians are experts in diagnosing and repairing all types of professionally installed landscape lighting systems, regardless of who originally installed them. If you are looking to expand, we can assess your current transformer capacity, inspect your existing wiring, and seamlessly integrate new fixtures to match or enhance your current setup.

Are your outdoor audio and lighting systems weather-resistant?

Yes, all the products we install are specifically designed to withstand the harsh coastal elements of the Manatee and Sarasota county areas. We use premium, commercial-grade, weather-resistant fixtures and high-fidelity outdoor speakers that endure heavy rain, high humidity, heat, and UV exposure, ensuring your investment lasts for years to come.

How does a smart lighting control system work?

A lighting control system replaces traditional switches with intelligent, programmable keypads or a smartphone/tablet app. It allows you to create customized scenes that adjust multiple zones of interior and exterior lights simultaneously. You can also set automated timers based on astronomical clocks, so your lights turn on precisely at sunset.

Is Presidential Lighting & Electrical fully licensed and insured?

Yes, we are a State Certified Electrical Contractor in Florida (License Number: EC13007633). Proud members of the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP), Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX). We carry full liability insurance and workers compensation, ensuring that your commercial or residential property is fully protected and that all installations strictly adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a wonderful experience. Our yard was very dark and a bit scary at night. Misael added just the right amount of warm lighting to illuminate our driveway and other features in our yard. He also hung additional lighting in the trees as well as on the shop building. He added 3 cameras on the shop too. It was so nice to work with someone that was professional and honest. I highly recommend Presidential Lighting!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Presidential has always been good to work with. I noticed cones in our parking lot and I knew they were coming to work on lights on the poles. So I had a last minute request for them to take down cameras. I called Jody and he said to catch the guys when the truck pulls them and I did. Bobby and Ethan was so accommodating and did have an issue with their current work load to take a few minutes take care of my needs. All of the guys at Presidential is great to work with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a few Haven lights I needed installed and fix an issue with one light. As Misael and his start a to install, they found out that the previous company who installed my lights wired them incorrectly….. Misael And his team rewired everything, got the wattage, correct, and installed my new lights. Thank God, they found the wire issues! We’ll definitely be using Misael And his team for a future outdoor project that will include Haven lighting!
